Porthleven Jewellery Workshop
About Us
Nestled in the heart of Porthleven, Cornwall, The Jewellery Workshop is a hub full of craftsmanship, creativity, and inspiration. From our workshop by the sea, we design and handcraft distinctive pieces using traditional techniques, including our best-selling sand cast jewellery. We also specialise in commission work, breathing new life into your old heirloom gold and silver to make timeless, wearable jewellery that will be treasured for years to come. Every piece we work on reflects our passion for slow, meaningful making, and your sentimental pieces are treated with respect and careful consideration. Visit us in Porthleven to discover our unique range of jewellery, see our fully functioning workshop, and to discuss your next commission.

Paul Pennington
Paul is the driving force behind the jewellery workshop. As owner, he has shaped the workshop into a place where traditional techniques meet contemporary design. With a deep appreciation for antique methods, Paul specialises in sand casting — a process known for its organic textures, raw finishes, and beautifully imperfect details. Paul believes in slow, intentional craftsmanship. Under his guidance, the workshop has become more than just a studio — it’s a creative environment where individuality, experimentation, and skill are valued above mass production.

Amy
Amy is the manager and creative heartbeat of the jewellery shop, blending organisation and design. She ensures the shop runs smoothly while creating a welcoming space for customers to explore and discuss ideas. A jeweller in her own right, Amy specialises in sea glass and recycled materials, transforming scrap silver and gold into one-of-a-kind designs that celebrate texture, colour, and the organic shapes made by the ocean. Amy enjoys working closely with clients to bring their ideas to life.

Ausra
Ausra is our resident jewellery repair extraordinaire, carefully restoring your broken pieces of jewellery so that they may be worn and cherished again. With over 20 years of bench experience, both in London and Lithuania, she is excellent at repairing the most delicate of pieces. Ausra is also able to cut and polish Baltic amber, and has her own range of unique, beautiful sterling silver and gold jewellery for sale in the shop.
