WHO WE ARE
We are Clair and Paul Pennington.
More than ten years ago, after several years of selling her own jewellery at local Craft Fairs, Clair designed and created the Harlequin Range of 'feel good' jewellery.
At first, she produced it on their dining table at home, selling at local craft fairs. She then progressed to a market stall on the edge of Porthleven Harbour.
Following success there, Paul joined her and they set up shop in the little workshop, on 'Breage Side' of Porthleven Harbour. (TR13 9JS)
Finally, when the business outgrew that as well, they settled in the shop they have today, on the opposite side of the harbour to the Workshop, on Harbour Road, Porthleven. (TR13 9FB)
"Today, we have the main retail shop and still use our small and professionally equipped workshop, where we hold our courses and classes.
We, along with our small team, pride ourselves on providing excellent, old-fashioned customer service, providing a friendly, bespoke experience, unique to you.
We offer a range of stunning jewellery for every taste and pocket. Each item is either skilfully handmade in house; by talented local artists or outsourced to provide the best possible selection as far as quality and design goes.
Working in silver, gold and platinum, we specialise in commissioned work, repairs, alterations and remodelling. We can also melt down your old or unused gold and silver and repurpose it into something truly unique. We offer a range of professional services and stock an extensive variety of jewellery, watches and gifts.
We also run regular 'Make Your Own' Courses; Seven Week 'Learn the Basics' Silversmithing Courses; totally bespoke 'One To One' tutorials and our popular 'Make Each Others Wedding Rings' experiences.
All supported by our experienced jewellers, you are guaranteed to create something beautiful, every time."
Clair, Paul, Michelle and Nicky and Aoise, look forward to meeting you soon!

What Our Customers Say
"Myself and my partner made our own wedding rings. I was a little apprehensive about doing so, after all they are the most symbolic jewellery we would ever wear! We were met by Rachel and Paul, who made us most welcome! Rachel was great and we both throughly enjoyed our day, and my fears disappeared very quickly! We both now have rings that mean so much more than ones we could have bought from a shop, more sentimental as they were made out of gold gifted by family and we made each others, and completely unique! We love them, can wait till we can wear them! Thank you so much! I would recommend it to anyone!"
"My fiancé and I have just had such a great day, making each other's wedding ring. Rachel is a fab teacher, and we not only have made something far more special than could be bought in a shop, but we have learnt a new skill as well! A brilliant day all round- highly recommended to anyone who fancies doing something a bit different!"
"What a special day! Myself and my partner have just completed a day making our own wedding rings with lovely Rachel and nothing at all could have made the experience any more enjoyable, simply perfect! Friendly, professional, genuinely interested and all round lovely team of staff! From initial design conversations a year ago through to making our rings today we've been supported in such a personal way that the process, not just the rings, is already one of our special memories! Thankyou so much! Ian & Bod.x.”

We can produce a variety of textured metals, using differing techniques such as:
Wax carving: wax carving by hand, can be used both for setting design details and for the production of cast pieces.
Hammered Finish: Adding interest by striking the metal with shaped hammers/utensils. Reticulation: Heating the surface of the metal and cooling it quickly, allowing a unique finish to each piece.
