We love what we do!

We are Clair and Paul Pennington and along with our dedicated team, we run The Jewellery Workshop in Porthleven, offering many and varied Jewellery Services. From replacing lost earring backs; to repairs; to watch batteries; to elaborate bespoke commissions.

In 2009, shortly after moving to Cornwall, Clair started our journey by creating and producing our beautiful 'Harlequin' range, selling it at first, on a market stall on Porthleven Harbour.

When we had the opportunity to take on our little Workshop premises, on Mount Pleasant Road, Porthleven Harbour in 2012, we couldn`t say no.

However, we found that we outgrew the workshop after a couple of years and managed to move our retail business, across the harbour into a larger shop premises along Harbour Road.

With the increasing work load, Rachel Lambert, a talented jeweller, originally from New Zealand, worked alongside us, on everything from commissions to creating new collections, ensuring that there was always something new to see. Rachel has now returned to New Zealand but we are still here, making sure the new designs and old favourites keep coming!

Quite simply, we all love what we do.

We and our small and dedicated team, take great pleasure in providing a service which is completely personal and unique to each of our customers. All of our team members have a wealth of different experiences, each one of us brings complementary collaborative dimensions to our work.

Clair: " I have always had a love for jewellery and have been making jewellery as a hobby since the 1980s. After a break to bring up our children, I returned to jewellery making in a professional capacity. I created our 'Harlequin' range and regularly create one off pieces, using sterling silver, precious and semi-precious stones. We are committed to providing a reliable great quality local service."

Paul: "After a few successful years on Porthleven Harbour Market, I realised how much I enjoyed the creative side of jewellery. I went back to school and attended a three year course at Truro College, gaining a BA Hons degree in Silversmithing and Jewellery Design. If it is technically possible, we will create it. We feel that the love and passion we have for our work, shines through."
